Fees

Free initial consultation

The first 30 minutes of the initial consultation at our firm are free of charge. During this time, we clarify your legal situation, outline possible courses of action, and discuss the next steps. We then agree together and transparently on the most appropriate billing model — tailored to your objectives, the complexity of the matter, and the degree of cost predictability you require.

For clearly defined services, we offer a flat or fixed fee with full cost transparency.

Flat fee

Typical applications
  • Contract review and contract drafting
  • Employment contracts and HR documents
  • General terms and conditions (T&Cs)
  • Standardised agreements
  • Predefined advisory packages
Your advantages
  • Clear and predictable costs
  • High degree of planning certainty
  • No surprises

For more extensive or dynamic matters, billing is based on actual time spent.

Hourly rate

Typical applications
  • Due diligence reviews
  • Ongoing legal advice
  • Complex or evolving factual situations
Your advantages
  • Flexible billing in line with actual effort
  • Full transparency through ongoing performance summaries
  • Regular updates on the current cost status (cost alerts)

In certain cases, billing may be carried out in accordance with the Austrian Lawyers' Tariff Act (RATG). In this model, the fee is not based on actual time spent but on statutory tariffs calculated on a flat-rate basis according to the value in dispute of the matter.

Austrian Attorneys' Fees Act (RATG)

Typical applications
  • Court proceedings
  • Contentious disputes
  • Situations involving a statutory obligation to reimburse costs
Your advantages
  • Statutory and transparent cost structure
  • Clear orientation provided by standardized tariffs
  • Relevant basis for cost reimbursement in proceedings
  • Frequent cost coverage by legal expenses insurance

Sample calculation: If your matter is assessed at a value in dispute of EUR 24,000 (which is particularly common in employment law matters due to the default rule), this value forms the basis for calculating each individual service under the tariff; these include, for example, telephone calls, letters, written submissions, and hearings. At this value in dispute, a short report letter may, for example, give rise to a fee of EUR 60.30 plus VAT (04.2026) — regardless of the actual time spent.
